On November 11th, 2010, Mr. Essam Mikhael and other staff members of Quality Enterprise Solutions Trading & Contracting Company (QUEST) presented the Chapter President with a very generous check for the AUSA Thanksgiving Events on 25 November.  QUEST’s sponsorship covered both a Sergeant First Class and a Sergeant Level in support of the US military in Kuwait.  The AUSA Kuwait Chapter Executive Board salutes QUEST for its fantastic partnership and looks forward to many of its company representative sharing the traditional feast with troops, senior officers, ambassadors, and other community business leaders where we will present them with a plaque of our appreciation.

On 27 Oct 2010, European Department President, Colonel (Ret) David Ellis, and the USAREUR Command Sergeant Major presented the Kuwait Chapter with six of its 13 streamers won for the previous year at the 1sr Region Awards Breakfast.

The Kuwait Chapter honored Mr. Prakash and United Airlines during our 9 October GMM  for their generous contribution of two free tickets so the NCO of the Year and Soldier of the Year from Kuwait can attend the 25-28 October AUSA National Convention.

 On 9 September, Mr. Bassel Jabakhanji and Ms. Asma Ramdani of Kuwait Resources House-KRH presented the AUSA Kuwait Chapter President with a check for 300 Kuwait Dinars to be used to reward the US Army NCO and Soldier of the Year.  This generous contribution is greatly appreciated and sends a signal of the strong support by this Kuwaiti company for the US military men and women in the country.  The AUSA sponsors this year will send the Soldier of the Year and NCO of the Year to Washington, DC to participate in the AUSA National Convention and to meet senior Army leaders. Besides their travel, these two outstanding soldiers will be provided a dress blue uniform as an indicator of a dedicated professional soldier.  We salute Kuwait Resources House-KRH for their wonderful gift to the best soldiers in Kuwait.

Kuwait Chapter Secretary Velinda White and President Randy Williams attended AUSA National leadership training at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Heidelberg, 26-29 August, 2010.  LTG (Ret) Roger Thompson, VP of AUSA, COL (Ret) John Davies, and Ms. Millie Hurlbut led the training of members the European Department's eight Chapter Boards.  COL David Ellis, President of the European Department hosted this training meeting.

Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (Gallipoli) Remembrance

Ambassador Glenn Miles of Australia invited AUSA to ANZAC Day, 25 April.  AUSA-Kuwait VP Samar Mansour was key in organizing the memorial. Our Chapter President, Randy Williams, laid a wreath at the memorial as dawn broke that morning. Also pictured is LTG David Webster.  AUSA-Kuwait Representatives joined US Ambassador Jones, the Turkish Ambassador , the Canadian Ambassador and OMCK Chief Greg Touhill for breakfast after the  memorial service.

2010 Golf Tournament & Banquet

 The 13 March 3rd Annual AUSA Corporate Sponsor and Troop Appreciation Banquet was just plain fun. The food was superb, MWR handed out some great door prizes, and the two guest speakers were outstanding. Major General Gregg Martin, DCG of 3rd Army/ARCENT, really revved up the 662 participants with his encouraging words. Then CSM (R) Don Thomas of AUSA National read citations of several Medal of Honor awardees, and followed with his stirring remarks on soldiering.

Mike Seals of DefCon provided a check to the Chapter President for a Sergeant First Class Level Sponsorship of the 4th Annual AUSA Golf Tournament. The AUSA Kuwait Chapter thanks DefCon on behalf of our Troops!
On 24 March, Chapter President Randy L. Williams presented Mike Seals of DefCon with a Plaque of Appreciation for DefCon’s Sergeant First Class Level Sponsorship of the 4th Annual AUSA Golf Tournament. Additionally, DefCon donated their slot for golfing and four seats at the Banquet back to soldiers. The AUSA Kuwait Chapter salutes DefCon for its generous support of our Troops!
On 15 Feb, 2010, Ms. Rizwana of the ITT-Middle East Office in Farwaniya, Kuwait presented the AUSA Kuwait Chapter with a check for 2,000 Kuwaiti Dinars. This contribution for the AUSA 4th Annual Golf Tournament is at the Sergeant Major Level. The Chapter thanks ITT, on behalf of the over 650 soldiers who will participate in our two March events for its generosity.
On 9 March, Mr. Scott Beverly of KGL presented Chapter President Randy Williams with a check for 1,000 Kuwaiti Dinars. This Sergeant First Class Sponsorship is outstanding. We salute KGL for its generosity on behalf of the troops.
On 10 February 2010, Mr. Ali Yousef Ali of Silverchain Trading Company presented the Chapter President with a check for the generous sum of 500 KD in sponsorship of the 4th Annual AUSA Golf Tournament. We salute this Sergeant Level Sponsor of the Tournament for the support and also thank Silverchain for the recent renewal as a Kuwait Chapter Sponsor.
On 6 January, FedEx became a Corporate Sponsor of the the AUSA Kuwait Chapter. Mr. Kamal Najjar and Mr. Zaid Khamash, the FedEx representatives to AUSA, presented Chapter President Randy L. Williams with a check for the annual membership.
